Why do I have dreams about living another life... With people I know and don't know..?

I keep seeing the same places.. No where I've seen when I'm awake.. Or that even exist. During the day sometimes, I get weird flashbacks.. Just for a second though. It's such a weird feeling. A little thing that kinda haunts me all the time. Does anyone know why this could be happening to me?
