Exposure to tuberculosis?

Hi, recently my school had a student who had TB. Many people at our school had to be checked for exposure to TB and some who were positive had to go and get an X-ray. I rarely see the kid at my school but a close friend of mine turned out positive. I didn't have to take the shot, and I've been told by my dad that I had already taken the shot for TB when I was a kid. However, recently I developed a dry cough and fever, and my throat feels inflamed. I took it as an infection and started taking antibiotics and cough syrup. I'm not really worried but should I go see a doctor about it and mention the case about the TB exposure at my school?
