I have tonsillitis and they inflamed AGAIN!!! Could this have caused it?? PLEASE help!!!!?

I've had tonsillitis for a week now and I'm still on medication. The swelling started to go down about 3 days ago and I wasn't feeling ANY pain so I decided to drink 2 cups of sunny D last night. I woke up in pain and my tonsils swelled up like they were from day 1. Could drinking these 2 cups of sunny D last night have caused my tonsils to inflame AGAIN? And what can I do to help the swelling go down faster???
