If a doctor knowingly operated on a patient that was awake when they weren't supposed to be what would happen?

Could you file a malpractice suit if you lived? Lets say you wake up on an operating table and you're awake and alert but you can't move and you got the doctor's and nurses' attention and they just look at you can move on doing the procedure and everything; could they do that? Like lets say they're removing your appendix and they keep you awake and you feel EVERYTHING they're doing and they don't stop even though they see the pain in your eyes. How much money could you get if you win in court? What would happen to the doctor(s) and nurse(s)? What would happen to the hospital?
